We welcome ideas from the community about future ideas for fundraisers!

Please contact us if you or your group would like to raise funds to help get books to people in prison. When funds are really low, volunteers sometimes stand in front of the post offices for a few hours and ask people to mail a package or two for us, while handing out some of our literature... this is something anyone can help us do, and that helps us keep shipping costs down, as well as getting the word out about our work.

Currently most of our funds go toward shipping costs, although we also need to purchase dictionaries occasionally. We spend very little on shipping supplies, wrapping paper, copies, and packaging tape; all these are usually covered by volunteers.

New or used dictionaries are always needed, because around half the letters both groups answer include a request for a dictionary or thesaurus. So if your group wants to help in a really important way, you could ask people to contribute dictionaries as a "cover" charge for your event and drop them off at one of our drop boxes around town, or stop by during a mailing day!
